On Saturday October 19th, 2013 hundreds will gather in Portland, OR for the Northwest Impact Summit. It is a free one day conference for young adults hosted by Oregon Family Council that will feature local and national experts to challenge, train, and equip those in attendance on the issues of life, marriage and family, and First Amendment freedoms. Also, there will be a media training track with experts in the field of communications to provide real world knowledge of how to speak effectively in the public square. Lunch will be provided on site and the event will be from 9:00am-4:30pm.
As people of faith we are faced with the daunting task of navigating the complexities of culture, while endeavoring to maintain our relationship with God and with others. The Northwest Impact Summit is a gathering of young adults looking to tackle the most difficult of today’s cultural issues head on. In the public arena this generation needs a voice to speak on issues that affect society like abortion, the push to redefine marriage, and the restrictions of our first amendment rights to free speech and religious freedom.
Each of us has a platform of influence and a place for our voice to be heard. Society needs to hear your voice, your views, and your values. Please join us at the Northwest Impact Summit on October 19th. You won’t want to miss this empowering event.
